Top Ten Tuesday: New(ish) Series I Want to Start

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish where we get to make fun bookish lists!

I hardly ever participate in this, mainly because I can’t think of 10 things that fit that week’s particular category and mainly because I always forget until Tuesday afternoon when I go blog hoping. But ah ha! I didn’t forget this week so here we are!

It was sort of hard to think of 10 series I want to start that are new. So some of these may be a bit older than a year but are some that I really need to make time out of my schedule to read. There are just so many books–and series!–and just not enough time in the day, week, month, or year to do so. One of these days though I shall conquer my TBR, you just wait and see!

Top Ten Series I Want to Start!

(in no particular order)

Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini The Young Elites by Marie Lu
A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray The Glass Sentence by S.E. Grove
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
the fifth wave by rick yancey  Every Breath by Ellie Marney
Vicious by V.E. Schwab  Hook's Revenge by Heidi Schulz
  • Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini–Salem witches are my favorite, especially this time of year. I hear this is super good.
  • The Young Elites by Marie Lu–I just need this one okay. Sounds SO good.
  • A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray–That cover! That synopsis! I really liked her Spellcaster series so I hope I like this one!
  • The Glass Sentence by S.E. Grove–recommended to me by Jess at Reading Nook Reviews. I trust her opinion!
  • The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas–something I don’t typically read but I’ve heard good things and it sounds interesting
  • Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins–Magic, witty banter, fancy dresses. Sounds like a winner to me.
  • The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey–I’m so behind on this one but it’s clearly great.
  • Every Breath by Ellie Marney–This is SO a Christine book. Thank you Nikki (There Were Books Involved) for showing me the light!
  • Vicious by V.E. Schwab–I LOVE this author. LOVE. I just haven’t gotten to this series yet 🙁
  • Hook’s Revenge by Heidi Schulz–This sounds so freaking cute and adventure-y and I love pirates!

I love my series but they are so hard to keep up with, especially with the big lag time between books. I definitely think I’ll be making some time for these, though. I’ve been meaning to get around to them for months and hopefully soon I will actually tackle this never ending TBR pile!

What series do you want to start soon? If you participated today, leave the link to your post in the comments! I want to see all the series I missed and need to add to my TBR 🙂

Oh gosh, I haven’t been on your blog in FOREVER. MY BAD! *glares at self* I’ve been a slacker. And you’ve moved to wordpress?! Squee!! Good on you!
I LOVED Trial By Fire! I know what you mean about having to wait for series and it being kind of annoying…*sigh* I hate that. I sometimes regret starting series when they’re not all out because it’s hard to remember what happens with long gaps. >_<

It’s okay! I’ve been super MIA both on my blog and with visiting other blogs so shame on me too! I have moved to wordpress! It was a scary ordeal but I am so incredibly happy I moved. I’ve been trying to write a post about it but as I mentioned, I’ve been MIA and slacking.

When I first heard about Trial by Fire it didn’t sound all that interesting to me. But then I’ve been seeing all these raving reviews and now I can’t help but wonder about it myself. I’m going to go look and see if you posted your review!

That’s exactly my problem! I’m all YAY SHINY NEW BOOK and make grabby hands but then the sequels take at least a year to come out. At that point I can barely remember anything about it. That’s what makes binge reading series 100% better. But who can resist a new series when it first comes out? Hello, new book!

I guess that means TYE is just awesome, right? The couple of reviews I have seen said that people are loving it. I sure hope so because I don’t think I can hold off not reading it! Yay! Someone else who hasn’t read The 5th Wave! I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t yet, especially now that the second book is out. I’m pretty sure it’s been sitting on my shelf since last year but I just haven’t gotten around to read it.

    • Christine

You are partially the reason so many of these book are listed! Your reviews always make me add more and more books to my TBR 😉

The only book on your list that I have already read is The Burning Sky and I really enjoyed reading it! I can’t wait to read The Perilous Sea.
But every other series on your list are books that I really want to read!
    Great choices!

That makes me feel less bad at being so behind on these! When I was making this yesterday I thought I was going to be the only one who hasn’t read them. I’m glad to hear you liked The Burning Sky! I’ve read some great reviews and some that didn’t like the book.

    • Christine

Yay! I love hearing that everyone is loving Trial by Fire! It makes me want to get my hands on a copy ASAP. I don’t know why I wasn’t interested in it before. Seems silly now!
