Stacking the Shelves (19)

September 14, 2013 stacking the shelves 19

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. This give bloggers a chance to showcase what they have received in the mail, bought, received for review, won in a giveaway, etc.

This is the week of sequels! I loved the first books in the two series I received this week and can’t wait to find out what happens next. YOU GUYS, I can’t control my excitement for a book I got in the mail this week. You’ll see why when you get to it. Otherwise, this is a small haul this week. But definitely quality over quantity!

As always, click the cover image for the Goodreads page!

ARC I Won

Perfect Ruin
Release Date: October 1, 2013
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Reader

YES. You saw that correctly!! I somehow managed to win the Goodreads lottery and won
an ARC copy of PERFECT RUIN. I honestly have no idea how. I never win those First Reads giveaways…ever. It’s taking everything I have in me to not stop everything that
I’m reading and dive into this. “Patience, Grasshopper,” I keep telling myself.

What did you get this week? Link me! 🙂

Congratulations!!! I’ve won quite a few books off goodreads – but I remember feeling the same way the first time I won! What a fantastic book to win for the first time, too! I’m so excited for Perfect Ruin so happy, happy reading! 🙂

    Here’s my haul

Man, you must have awesome luck! I’ve only won two other books before and that was way back in February and March. I haven’t won anything since then. I’ve tried entering the moment it becomes available to waiting until the last 2 minutes before it’s closed. Neither did the trick, haha! If I had to choose a book to win, this would have been my dream one. I love Lauren and having been going insane waiting for this. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment 🙂

I wish I had those ebooks in physical form. I bet the reds in them look phenomenal in person. The cover for PERFECT RUIN is gorgeous! The design covers all three sides to the cover, on the title page, and each chapter heading. Whoever designed it did outstanding.

It really was an awesome surprise. I figured I had no shot since I don’t ever win giveaways. My sister, even though she was born after me, stole all the luck I should have had.

Love the series by Rachel Fisher. Honestly, I think it true. We have no idea what our bodies are consuming. Most people eat food and really it not even real. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it.

When I finished the first book, I became way more aware of what I was eating. My mom has been saying for years that she thinks the pesticides, chemicals, and enhancers that companies are putting on crops and livestock is what is causing an increase in cancer rates. She couldn’t believe that Rachel had written a series about it. But it has to be true! We eat food these days that our ancestors wouldn’t have even dreamed of eating. Everything they ate was fresh and home grown. There were no chemicals. There were no foreign things being processed with them. My mom’s side of the family have all lived well into their upper 90’s. You don’t see that happen much anymore. I’m so excited to continue reading this series. I remember reading your reviews of it and completely trust your opinion 🙂
