Ebooks for Review

Truly, Madly, Deadly by Hannah Jayne

Release Date: July 2, 2013
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire

I’m super excited for this one. Mysterious notes, murder, detective work? You can count me in! I told y’all last time I was on a huge mystery/thriller kick. I can’t wait to start this! Plus, the cover is so creepily cool. Draws you in, doesn’t it?!

Thank you Sourcebooks! Oh, and I’m going to be interviewing Hannah about her book soon. So be on the lookout for it!

The Clockwork Scarab by Colleen Gleason

Release Date: September 17, 2013
Publisher: Chronicle Books

When I saw this on Edelweiss I just had to request it. One of the main characters is the niece of Sherlock Holmes, how cool! This book is also a mystery. I tried to warn you about this whole mystery thing I’m on 🙂 I’m so excited about this book. I love Sherlock Holmes. I’m not really sure how much Egyptian references there are besides the scarab but I love ancient Egypt. If you’ve been around my blog for awhile you probably remember me mentioning I have a tattoo of the Egyptian symbol of life, the ankh! Thanks Chronicle!

Forevermore by Cindy Miles

Release Date: July 1, 2013
Publisher: Point–Scholastic

How weirdly mesmerizing is this cover? The main character moves to a legit castle and comes across a ghost and she finds herself in danger. I love paranormal books and haven’t read one in awhile. I’m looking forward to this! Thanks Scholastic!

Has anybody ever seen Little Ghost? It’s about a boy who moves into a castle and falls in love with a ghost who lives there. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger. This book reminds me of a more grown-up version, so I’m pretty excited!

Physical Book

Sky’s End by Lesley Young

Release Date: July 15, 2013
Publisher: Soul Mate Publishing

This is hands down the coolest PR package I’ve ever gotten! I’m participating in the blog tour for SKY’S END in September that is hosted by JKS Communications. I’ve always wanted to try sky lanterns but never really knew where to get them. That awesome scene in Tangled, yeah that one? I can do that now! On a small scale, but still. I haven’t had time to try them yet because I’m moving but I’m dying to. I’ll be sure to take pictures and share with everyone. Thanks so much Sami! 😀

What books have you gotten this week? Link me up!

Truly Madly Deeply is one I am really itching to read, especially as so many positive reviews keep coming in. I hadn’t heard of The Clockwork Scarab but wow, does it sound good. I had no idea that was what it was about. Added it to my TBR 🙂

I need to go find some of the reviews you are talking about and see what they have to say! I’m excited to start it soon. It’s such a neat premise, right?! I don’t really know how I stumbled across it but I’m glad I did. Fingers crossed it’s good 🙂

    • Christine P

I hope they are both as good as they sound! I have a feeling they are going to be awesome! Thanks for stopping by, Michelle 🙂

You should definitely check it out, then! I’ve only read one other steampunk book before so I’m curious to see how this one is. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Jade

How have I not heard of Forevermore? Castles with ghosts and romance = gothic romance with a pretty cover. Jadey wants!

Tru;l Madly Deadly looks amazing as well, I’ve seen it aeound before but overlooked it, but it’s on my radar now!

About These Broken Stars – Hyperion are accepting blogger requests, and it’s not just US (I’m from the UK and they accepted my request).

Great haul, thanks for visiting My Haul

FOREVERMORE is completely new to me too. I stumbled across it on NetGalley and could not pass up the chance to request it. It sounds really good!

I hope TMD is good! It has the potential to be awesome, based off the summary. We’ll see!

Oh okay, thanks! I looked at their publisher page and it made it seem like they weren’t accepting any blogger requests right now. I’ll have to go back and request it then 🙂

I’m definitely excited to read Clockwork Scarab. I love that the two characters are related to Holmes and Stoker. It looks very cool. I have to admit to being a bit disappointed in Truly, Madly, Deeply. I’m curious to hear what you think and am excited for your review.

Those paper lanterns are awesome. You’ll definitely have to share pictures!

Great haul this week! Happy reading!

CLOCKWORK SCARAB should be super good if it was written well. I love the premise of it. I hope it’s as awesome as it sounds!

Ah man, really? Did you post a review? I’ll have to go see what you said. Your reviews are always written so well. 🙂

    • Natalie Natflixandbooks

Aw, thanks, Christine! I did write a review–it’s on my blog–but because it is a mystery I would skip the reviews until after you read it. I tried to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but it’s always better to go into a mystery blind.

I thought Truly, Madly, Deadly was an okay read, and just an okay read alone. I wish I would have loved it more.
    Happy reading! (:

Oh man, that’s disappointing to hear. I’ve been looking forward to starting it. We shall see! Heading over to see your review if you’ve written one!

I like the look of The Clockwork Scarab! And I’ve heard… interesting things about Truly, Madly, Deadly. Every time I see that title, I think of that one old song, Truly, Madly, Deeply 😉

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

Now that I’ve had a chance to read some of the comments above I’m sorta worried. I hope I like it! Haha, I think of that too! Thanks for stopping back by my blog 🙂

  6. Tressa S

I have The Clockwork Scarab too and need to read it. I am quite curious about Truy, Madly, Deadly and Forevermore. I’ve seen Sky’s End and that one looks good too. It’s fabulous that you got a physical book! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
