July 20, 2013 In My Mailbox, stacking the shelves 26

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Mod Podge Bookshelf some weeks and Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. These give bloggers a chance to showcase what they have received in the mail, bought, received for review, won in a giveaway, etc.

Ebooks for Review (via NetGalley)

Grasping at Eternity by Karen Amanda Hooper

Release Date: May 25, 2012
Publisher: Starry Sky Publishing

This book was put up on NetGalley for a limited time to help promote the series. Book 2 in the Kindrily Series was released in May of this year and the publisher and author wanted some more reviews/buzz. It sounds like a really good book and I love the cover and font! Who doesn’t love peacock feathers?!

Thanks for approving me! 🙂

The Impersonator by Mary Miley

Release Date: September 17, 2013
Publisher: Minotaur Books-St. Martin’s Press

I was invited to download this and although it’s not a genre I typically read, the premise does sound really cool. I don’t know if I’ll get around to reading it anytime soon but I am curious to read it! I just can’t resist a good murder mystery book.

Physical Books

My awesome friend Jess from The Reading Nook Reviews sent me these!! 🙂 I’m so excited to dive into all three. I knew she had an extra copy of TARNISH lying around but I had no idea she was sending the other two. I’ve been itching to get my hands on HEREAFTER. I’m on a huge murder mystery kick (see above paragraph, see PREP SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL review) and can’t wait to read SPIES & PREJUDICE. It’s like she just knew! Thanks Jess! 🙂

Book I Won

Daimones by Massimo Marino

Release Date: September 23, 2012

I won this through Armchair BEA! You know me, gotta have those dystopians! It’s won a couple of awards so it must be good. Plus, I believe it is part of a trilogy. A big thanks to the author for sponsoring ABEA and sending me this book!

I can’t wait to read TARNISH. Apparently it’s awesome! I’ve only read one other historical fiction novel before so I’m going in with an open mind 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

I love it! It rarely ever happens, though. I can’t tell you how many rafflecopter giveaways I’ve enter without winning. I think my ratio is 1:1,000,000? Thanks so much for dropping in!

You said it perfectly! Quality over quantity. I feel the same way about it. I usually don’t have a very large haul but that also means I have the time to actually read what I get 🙂 I’m hopping to your post next!

Yay for surprised, right? I’ve read Spies and Prejudice, but I didn’t love it. I hope you like it, though, and all your other goodies. Happy reading 🙂

Yes, yay! It doesn’t happen often! Oh no, that’s disappointing to hear. I haven’t really heard too much about it so we’ll see how it goes. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
