What would you change?
Imprisoned in the heart of a secret military base, Em has nothing except the voice of the boy in the cell next door and the list of instructions she finds taped inside the drain.

Only Em can complete the final instruction. She’s tried everything to prevent the creation of a time machine that will tear the world apart. She holds the proof: a list she has never seen before, written in her own hand. Each failed attempt in the past has led her to the same terrible present—imprisoned and tortured by a sadistic man called the doctor while war rages outside.
Marina has loved her best friend, James, since they were children. A gorgeous, introverted science prodigy from one of America’s most famous families, James finally seems to be seeing Marina in a new way, too. But on one disastrous night, James’s life crumbles, and with it, Marina’s hopes for their future. Marina will protect James, no matter what. Even if it means opening her eyes to a truth so terrible that she may not survive it... at least, not as the girl she once was. Em and Marina are in a race against time that only one of them can win.

All Our Yesterdays is a wrenching, brilliantly plotted story of fierce love, unthinkable sacrifice, and the infinite implications of our every choice.

I don’t think words can describe how much I loved this book. Think I’m being a bit dramatic or over exaggerating? Guess again! ALL OUR YESTERDAYS is the best book I’ve read so far this year. The #1. The Head Honcho. The creme de la creme. If I weren’t reading something else right now, I would go pick this up and read it again.

Finally, we are presented with a science fiction stand-alone that is utterly fantastic! There are some amazing sci-fi series out there but if you’re in the market for one book that will honestly blast your socks off, this is it. There’s no waiting around for the next book and a conclusion, you get it all in this book. Cristin Terrill doesn’t spare your feelings either, she packs a serious punch.

Firstly, the characters were all completely stellar. Em is the strongest female main character I’ve ever seen. She’s been imprisoned in this tiny cell and is tortured daily for information she’d rather die than give up. She’s sent on a quest back in time to do the single hardest thing she’ll ever have to choose to do. She’s strong willed, determined, and loves with everything she’s got. She’s willing to sacrifice herself to save her younger self and friends. Marina is sort of the love sick puppy who is just head over heels in love with her neighbor. She’s extremely devoted to him and even though it sometimes clouds her judgement, she’s so very loyal and someone you would want to have as your best friend. I LOVED Finn. Past and present version. He’s stubborn and likes to rile up Marina/Em but he’s also a fierce person who knows what has to be done to save the girl he loves. James, I have such mixed feelings about him. One minute he’s the charismatic neighbor who I wouldn’t help fall in love with too. The next, he’s way too self absorbed in his own matters. The doctor. OMG I hate the freaking doctor. I’ll let you read the novel to figure out this one. I guarantee you’ll despise every morsel of his being. Terrill will play with your emotions a bit, making you sort of feel sorry for him. But then the next minute you’ll be back to loathing him even more.

What intrigued me from the very minute about this book was the concept of time travel and having two narrators who are the same people. Cristin Terrill did a wonderful job with the setup of the story. I was completely absorbed in both girls’ lives and loved seeing how much they have changed over the years. If you didn’t read the summary, you wouldn’t even know that they are the same person. They seem like complete opposites. The story had me hooked from sentence one and I never once stopped to breathe. I just completely devoured the book. These characters (in the present) are on the mission of their life and you are dying to know how their story ends. Each page was action packed and tested your brain and emotions…in the best way possible. I can’t tell you how many times I had to go back a couple of chapters to see how obvious Terrill had made some things. You’ll be kicking yourself that you missed it. Oh, and that ending. The conclusion and solution to the problem is gut wrenching, bitter sweet, and could not have ended better.

All too often you are presented with a fabulous sounding time travel novel that just doesn’t deliver or the mechanics behind the whole traveling part aren’t told well. Don’t you fret, sci-fi lovers, Terrill delivered. Big time. The entire process of time travel was so thought out that I’m honestly wondering if she’s invented a time machine herself. It’s so fascinating to see how one event can change the course of history and the present, multiple times over. ALL OUR YESTERDAYS is brilliant, to put it simply.  Bravo, Cristin Terrill, bravo!

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

You definitely need this one!! SO GOOD. She did a fantastic job with the time travel aspect. I was impressed. You gotta be sharp to understand it but she doesn’t dumb it down, which I loved! I wish you lived closer or I would just send you my copy.
