My name’s Christine. I’m a 20-something girl. I started The Bookish Daydreamer way back in 2013 as a way to share with the world my bookish experiences. Most of the time, you’ll see book reviews and book related memes. Don’t be surprised if you come across some random ramblings of my life. I like to type, I like to write, I like to talk about interesting things–well, things that I consider interesting.
I’ve always been an avid reader and love coming across a great series that I can’t put down for one minute. You’ll hear about them, often. A good book to me is something that makes me go through every single emotion possible, usually in a short amount of time. I like to be challenged mentally and like when a book makes me think about the world I live in. My favorite age group is YA, if you couldn’t tell. My favorite genres in YA are thriller, mystery, science fiction, speculative fiction, dysptopia, paranormal/supernatural, contemporary, and fantasy. I also sometimes read adult sci-fi/dystopian novels, too.
Speaking of book preferences, I am a physical copy of a book kind of girl. I love my Kindle, don’t get me wrong. I just love the feel and look of a real book. I like having a bookshelf overflowing with books and being able to see everything I have. I love turning pages and being able to see exactly how far I have to go before it’s finished (and how much I need to slow down)! I don’t really have a preference of hardback or paperback. My only pet peeve is having a series of books that are mixed hardback and paperback. Picky, I know.
This blog has been abandoned mostly for the last two years but I can assure you that’s about to change. Life got in the way it seems, but I’m excited to have found my love of books again and hope you’ll stick around for my new journey!
